As Canada’s largest fundraising event for post-secondary students, Shinerama now raises over $1 million annually towards finding a cure or treatment for Cystic Fibrosis: the most common, fatal, inherited disease affecting young Canadians today. Every year, over 60 Northern AlbertaInstitute of Technology students join thousands of students across Canada to volunteer with Shinerama: Students Fighting Cystic Fibrosis.

The NAIT Students’ Association, or NAITSA, is committed to helping NAIT students be exceptional during their college career. We participate in a number of volunteer activities during the school year including our yearly campaign to raise awareness and funds to fight Cystic Fibrosis.

Since 1968, NAIT students have contributed over $510,200 to the Cystic Fibrosis cause. On Saturday, September 10, 2011, students will hit the streets of Edmonton for Shine Day toraise money and awareness for CF research and treatment. Last year, NAIT students raised just over $9,000 for Shinerama and this year our goal is toraise $20,000. With your support, we can reach our goal.

The NAITSA Shinerama Organizing Committee would like to invite you to join us on our 2011 Shinerama Campaign as a member of The 100 Club.

To be a part of this important group of donors we’re asking for $100 from 200 individuals and companies like you. We believe that, in order for our students to be successful during their college career and beyond, it’s important to work closely with our communities. Members of the first 100 Club understand this approach and are dedicated to the success of NAIT students.

To recognize your donation, we would list you as one of our donors in The Nugget, NAIT’s student newspaper, and online at www.naitsa.ca. Your $100 donation will be 100% tax deductible. The Cystic Fibrosis Canada office will mail you your tax receipt shortly after your donation. Our 100 Club Campaign will run from July 11 until September 12, 2011.
