Shinerama Campaign

On behalf of NAITSA's Shinerama Campaign and Cystic Fibrosis Canada, I would like to thank all the volunteers who came out on Shine Day, Saturday, September 10 2011. Thank you as well to all members of the 100 Club, who have given $100 towards finding a cure.

We've had many events throughout the summer and I'm grateful to our many volunteers.

We have raised $10,000 to date. Our goal is $20,000. With your ongoing support we will achieve our goal!

Cystic Fibrosis, or CF, means you can't breathe and one day soon with your help we hope CF becomes Cure Found.

Shine Day

Shine Day is Saturday, September 10, from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. where we?ll wash cars, shine shoes, and sell lollipops, hugs, high-fives, and balloons. Our Shine Day fundraising goal is $6,000.

All proceeds from the auction will go to support the NAIT?s Student Association?s Shinerama! Shinerama is Canada's largest post-secondary school fundraiser, involving more than 35,000 students from over 60 university and college campuses. Shinerama students have raised more than $21.5 million to support the fight against cystic fibrosis since the campaign began. The official Shine Day this year will be held on SEPTEMBER 10th, 2011.

The auction is open from August 30 at 5:00am and closes on September 7 at 5pm. Bids will be updated every hour from 8am-5pm Monday to Friday.

Come join NAITSA’s SHINERAMA campaign September 10, 2011. We will shine anything and everything, to help raise over a million dollars across Canada for Shinerama.

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a fatal, inherited disorder that affects mainly the lungs and digestive system. Sticky mucus clogs the small bronchial tubes in the lungs, making it difficult to breathe. A bacterium collects in the clogged tubes, leading to infections. Mucus also plugs the tiny ducts of the pancreas, an organ that supplies enzymes to aid digestion. As a result, food is not properly digested and nutritional value is lost.

Most people with Cystic Fibrosis die of lung disease.
